Cork flooring feels warmer, quieter, and more comfortable underfoot than hardwood, with a subtle resilience that is especially well suited to yoga, Pilates, stretching, recovery, and controlled strength training. However, I would be cautious about using it beneath heavy plate-loaded or selectorized machines, where the concentrated weight of each piece may cause permanent indentation; for lighter, design-forward equipment—including most PENT and NOHRD collections—it remains an excellent choice.
Unlike many hard surfaces, cork brings a softer, quieter, and more forgiving feel underfoot — while still offering durability, texture, and a strong connection to nature.
