So, why do we work out?  Why do we voluntarily pepper our already overbooked schedules with physically demanding exercise programs?  Aren't our lives already so replete with unwarranted aggravations?  What makes working out worthy of our time?  although there are innumerable answers to such questions, below are a few of our favorites in order of increasing significance. 

We do it for Vanity.  It's no mystery -  We all want to look good.  Incorporating regular workouts into your lifestyle will help you build muscle and burn calories more quickly.  Each and every workout brings you closer to your fitness goals and to a slimmer trimmer you. 

We want to be stronger and healthier.  Being stronger in your workouts translates into being stronger in your life: being able to pick up a bag of groceries of your child, to walk quickly that extra distance in the airport or mall, to tote that suitcase or papers on a business trip, and so on. You will be a frustrating thorn in the side of aging and its relentless attempts to slow you down. Mattresses overstuffed with case and international fame and popularity will be of no use to you if you are physically overwrought with too many aches and pains to enjoy them.  By working out, you will earn the benefits of stronger muscles, including the most important muscle of all, your heart, and as a result, will lessen the change of developing coronary heart disease. Your joins will be well supported and your posture will be improved.  You will have strong bones, decrease the risk of osteoporosis, increase your metabolism and calorie burning during resistance training, and all in all, increase fat loss.  You will be able to function more freely and independently in life and experience less discomfort well into your golden years.

We do whatever it takes to look good in order to feel good, in an attempt to move toward being happy.  Ultimately, the most important answer lies in the fact that our minds, bodies, and spirits are completely interwoven.  The secret is this:  What you possess becomes unimportant if the parth to attaining that possession is unearned.  This is true of anything in life.  The act of taking control of your body and working toward becoming stronger, leaner, and healthier overall, will bring results that are valuable physcholoically, emotionally, and physically.  What makes life worthwhile is actually experiencing it.  In the same sense, experience your body and its phenomenal ability to move.  

Being fit is your choice, absolutely.  A constant one.  Only you have the power to choose to make the most of your body.  Choose to challenge it.  Always choose to treat it right and allow it to beocme the best body it can possibly be.
